Everett I. VanLandingham, 79, of Whiteland, Indiana died Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Everett was born to the late Ivan and Evelyn Boger VanLandingham in Indianapolis, IN on August 20, 1931. He was a member of the International Union of Elevators Contractors Local #34 working there from 1953 to 1995. Everett married Marilyn Richey on November 8, 1952 and she survives. He served our country in the US Army. He was a member the honor guard with the VFW and American Legion. Everett enjoyed building model cars, boats and airplanes. He raced go-carts and was an avid bowler in his earlier years. Surviving with his wife are two sons and a daughter in-law: Larry and Debby VanLandingham, and Mike VanLandingham. Three daughters and son-in-laws: Tammy and Derek Smith, Linda and Randy Werden, and Toni and Jeff Sims. One brother: Ronald and Sheryl VanLandingham. 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Saturday. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN 46143.
