Fern A. Whitten, 93, of Greenwood passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. She was born to the late Edwin and Mayme Reynolds.
Fern loved to do ceramics, shelling and wintering in Florida. She was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church. She was a court reporter for Johnson County Superior Court. She retired from the former American States Insurance Company.

Fern leaves behind to cherish her memory, children Brenda (David) Riggan, Phillip Whitten, Patricia Brown and Donna (Kevin) Bailer; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two siblings Judy (Daryll) Baylor and Edwin (Jean) Reynolds. She is proceeded in death by her husband Hubert Whitten (2008) and six siblings Lola, Bill, Jim, Marcella, Forrest and Rushh and her daughter-in-law Mary Whitten.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM until the time of service at Bluff Creek Christian Church. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM at the church. Fern will be laid to rest next to her husband Hubert at Bluff Creek Cemetery.
