Flavia Lopez Morales, age 89, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011. She was born May 7, 1921 in Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Hertrudes and Herminia (Castillo) Cruz, and they preceded her in death. She married Jose Matilde Morales on January 30, 1939 and he preceded her in death in October, 1988. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Clermont, IN. Flavia was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, paint and spend time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Kevin) Alexander, and Yolanda (John) Nolan; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one soon to be born, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Abundio Morales and by three sisters. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one''s choice.
