Frances Macy, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. She was 99 years old. Frances was born in Huntington, West Virginia to her parents Russell and Hazel Selby. She graduated from High School and then earned her cosmetology license. Frances married her husband, Rex, and they shared 43 years of marriage together until Rex passed away in 1989.
Frances worked as a beautician for 25 years and then proudly served her family as a homemaker. Frances was a member of White Harvest Methodist Church for many years. Frances enjoyed watching soap operas and Fox News. She also enjoyed listening to her Bible audiobook. When Frances was younger, she enjoyed painting scenery and nature. Frances enjoyed observing the world around her and taking the time to take it all in. She was always proud to be a mother and grandmother to her family. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Frances is survived by her grandchildren, Brian Macy of SC, Jason Macy of TX, Mellisa (Buddy) Terry of IN, and Hannah (Alex) Watkins of IN; her great grandchildren, Makaley Terry, Makenzy Terry, Abigail Watkins, Jordan Watkins and Ezekiel Watkins.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Rex Macy Jr and Ron Macy; her eight siblings; her many nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a graveside service at a later date.
