Franklin:
Francis Elonzo Doan, 93, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at The Masonic Home in Franklin. Bud was born on August 12, 1917 in Indianapolis to the late Earl and Reva (Overby) Doan. Bud honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He married his love Juanita J. Presley on May 29, 1954.
Bud was a very sweet and quiet man. He worked at Allison GM for 35 years in the Speedway and Tibbs area, lastly as a foreman. He loved to fish and was very crafty with his hands. Bud was a member of the Castleton Masonic Lodge.
Bud is survived by his loving wife Juanita of 57 years; children: Gary Doan (Cindy) and Linda Findley; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by parents; sister; and daughter Linda Leveritt.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, followed with a Masonic Service at 10:45 a.m., leading to the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with full military rites afforded. www.forestlawncemetery-fh.com
