Francis "Frank" D. Sanders, 77, of Greenwood, passed away January 20, 2014. The son of Lloyd and Frances (Whetstone) Sanders, Frank was born May 25, 1936 in Pennville, Indiana. Survivors include his wife, Arlene K. Sanders; his children, Lynda K., Steven D. (Kathy), James M. (Colleen), Keith A. (Carole), Robert W. (Diana); 10 grandchildren, Jason (Kim), Seth, Chelsea, Kevin Freije (Rochelle), Ashley, Levi Reynolds (Brittany), Josh, Emily, Lee, Sam; 3 great-grandchildren, Nathan Sanders, Aiden Freije, and Aurora Reynolds; sister Bonnie Tunberg and brother Jay Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Richard, Eldon, and Lloyd Jr, and grandson Nathan Sanders.

Frank was a veteran of the US Air Force while serving eight years. At the end of his working career, he retired as a Vice President of Bank One from the Personal Trust Department. He was a member of American Legion Post #205 in Franklin. Some of Frank's interests included bowling, car collecting, dogsitting, visiting Patoka, and playing cards. He especially loved playing euchre, Kings on the Corner, and poker. Two of his favorite places to visit were the Las Vegas or Shelbyville casinos to play a little bit of GameKing. But of all his interests, his favorite was spending time with his wife and family.
