Frank Amato, 93, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Village Oaks. Frank was born on October 6, 1917 in Paterson, NJ to the late Philip and Rose (DiCrostia) Amato. He married his love Rose Marie Pogozelski.
Frank worked as an aeronautical supervisor for Curtis Wright in Woodbridge, NJ, for many years, retiring in 1974. Frank was involved in many local Senior Citizen groups. He loved lunch dates, eating out, and the retirement years.
Frank is survived by his loving children: Philip Amato (Judy), Joyce Nitzel (Jack), and Frank Amato Jr.; sisters: Isabelle Zakim and Mary Ricciardi; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and wife Rose.
Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family during their time of loss. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Greenwood with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. www.forestlawncemetery-fh.com.
