Mr. Frederic Keith Wagner, Fishers, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was 81 years old.

Fred was born November 10, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Lowell Gilbert and Ethel May (Shaner) Wagner. He attended Broad Ripple High School and later dedicated over 30 years of service as a mechanic with Runyon Tool Rental in Carmel. He retired in 2021 at the age of 77.

A man of quiet faith and steady character, Fred was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church in Fishers. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking—creating many beautiful and practical pieces that he lovingly shared with family. Known for his mechanical know-how, Fred could fix just about anything and took great satisfaction in helping others. He loved being outdoors, especially when working in his yard, and nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his family—especially his beloved grandson, Frederic. Those who knew Fred was the kind of guy that "if he liked you, he really liked you," a simple truth that spoke volumes about his loyalty and warmth.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Mary Wagner; his daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Tony Basso; and his cherished grandson, Frederic Basso. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy and her husband, Jack Simpson, and his brother, Gilbert and wife, Lois Wagner, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Robert Wagner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, with Care Pastor Jim Littlejohn officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
