Frederick A. Morales, of Indianapolis, passed away early on the morning of May 12th surrounded by his loved ones. Fred was 78 years old and as such, had a long life of tales to tell. Fred was one of seventeen children born to Carlotta (Soto) Morales and Felix Morales. He was a member of the Air Force, having served from 1966 until 1970. Fred was married to his wife Virginia (Smith) Morales in 1966 and they spent 58 years loving each other through thick and thin. He became a father in 1973, and he was a beloved husband, father, and later, grandfather and great-grandfather. One of Fred's favorite things to do was to make memories with his friends and family through things like sporting events or concerts. He attended numerous concerts with his daughter and granddaughters and to them, he was considered the best concert buddy of all time. One of his greatest passions was music, and he loved teaching his girls about his favorite musicians. He was also an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears. He was in attendance at the Indy 500 every year that was possible for him, and those racing days were some of his best memories. Fred will be remembered by those who loved him most for his infectious laugh that could be heard a mile away, and the love and knowledge he left us with. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, twelve siblings, and his beloved dog, Annie. Fred is survived by his wife Virginia (Smith) Morales, his daughter Tara (Morales) Eggen, granddaughters Olivia Scherer and Cecillia Ross, great-grandchildren Koda and Veda Lake, and siblings Juanita (Morales) Settecasi, David Morales, Jesse Morales, Lola (Cruz) Douglas, and Gloria (Cruz) Davis.
