Fredrick Richard "Dick" Thacker, age 77, of Indianapolis, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, with his loving family at his side. Fred was born July 15, 1938 in Indianapolis to Fredrick E. and Nora W. (Seall) Thacker. Dick was an Installer of ceramic tile for Allen Clay Tile for many years. He loved woodworking, gardening, feeding ducks, collecting John Deere memorabilia and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughters.

Dick married the former Patricia Lea Denny on October 19, 1985 and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Jody L. (John) Ryan; sister, Florence Gunderman; grandchildren, Chloe, Kira, and London; great granddaughters, Norah, Adalenah and Harlowe; sister-in law, Marcella Thacker; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Donald and Raymond Thacker; sister, Margie Thacker.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
