Mr. Gary Dale Groce, Indianapolis, passed away on the early evening of Monday, September 28, 2020 at Indiana University Health - Methodist Hospital. He was 62. Gary was born October 1, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana a son of the late O'Dell Groce and Patricia Ann (Knapp) Clawson.

Gary was an avid football and basketball fan especially of the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls and the Indianapolis Colts and spent many hours watching them on television. He also spent his leisure time tinkering in the garage, grilling out and going on cruises with his wife and friends. He got much joy in decorating his home for the Christmas season, making it special for his family. Gary was a family man and loved them all dearly. He was a wonderful, supportive and giving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Gary is survived by his wife 45 years, Debra Groce, his children, Donovan Groce, Barbara Barker and Stacey (Derek) Van Winkle; his grandchildren, Madison Van Winkle, Harley McCloud, Aleigha Van Winkle, Caleb Groce, Carissa Groce, Victoria McCloud, Chloe Groce and Christen Groce.

Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
