Gary W. Nicholas, 59, of Owen County passed away on December 2, 2017. Gary was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 7, 1958 to Harold and Vivian Nicholas. Gary was a hardworking man. He especially loved woodworking and tinkering in his garage. He loved fishing. He was a member of the UAW Local 933. One of his favorite hobbies since the birth of his first grandson was playing Santa. He was a fun loving man and will be greatly missed. Gary is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Georgiana Nicholas; son, Shane Nicholas; daughters, Dawn (Jay) Campbell and Nickie (Matthew) Oakes; brother, Dennis (Linda) Nicholas; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN with visitation from 10:00 AM until the start of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Toys for Tots.
