Gary E. Smith, 75 of Mooresville passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20,2026. He was born to the late Willie and Bonnie Smith.

Gary loved to spend time with family and watching old movies. Gary enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his dad. He worked at Allison Transmission for 46 years.

Gary leaves behind to cherish his memory children Dawn (Jason Spivey) Mills and Sean Smith; four grandchildren Paige (Quentin) Parks, Trent (Morgan) Ballew, Nicholas Mills and Kayleigh Mills; three grandchildren; a sister Barbara Martin and life long friend and the mother of his children Brenda Smith. He is proceeded in death by both parents; a son Preston Smith and a sister Linda Card.
