Geneva C. Hatton, Madley-Owens, 90, of Greenwood, passed away January 26, 2014. The daughter of Charles Sidney and Jessie Bell Ginter Hatton, Geneva was born September 5, 1923 in Olympia, Kentucky.
A homemaker, Geneva was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Greenwood. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and crocheting.
Geneva is survived by daughter, Vickie J. Starr of Greenwood; grandchildren, Michael Scott (Tonya) Friedman, Shelly D. Eberhardt and Allen S. Harvey; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Rayn and Bella M. Eberhardt; sisters, Helen Neal of Bloomington and Roberta Polsgrove of Crown Point. Besides her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by husbands, Howard Madley and Virgil Owens; daughter, Sharon K. Friedman; great-granddaughter, Mikenzie S. Eberhardt; brothers, Carl, Kenneth, Ferman and Edward Hatton and sisters, Pearl Jones, Grace Shrout and Molly Mae White.
Rev. Sonny Jones will officiate at funeral services 1:00 p.m. January 31, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to the time of services at the funeral home.
