George L. Fendley, age 66, of Indianapolis, passed away July 19. He was born March 23, 1944 in Prospect, KY to William Hayden and Gracie Marie (Owens) Fendley. He retired from Southside Landfill as a Foreman and Mechanic. George was an avid Fisherman, Camper and Auto Racing fan. He married the former Darlene Smith on August 9, 1966 and she preceded him in death April 19, 2010. George is survived by his daughters, Darlene (Toby Green) Dobson, Crystal (Jim) Howell, Sabrina (Michael) Helber and adopted daughter, Misty Jo; two brothers, four sisters, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and friends; Joe and Amanda, Bill and Gisela and Jim and Donie. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 24, at 10:30 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with visitation Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will follow service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. A Masonic Service will be Friday at 7:30 PM.
