David Frazier, 74, passed away on April 18, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by his loved ones. His battle with serious illnesses in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with dignity and his ever-present sense of humor. He was raised in the Franklin, Indiana area by his parents, George and Mildred Frazier along with two brothers and a sister.
In July, 1982, David and Peggy (Thompson) were married and blended their families to include Jennifer (Roger) Fults, Julie (Matt) Knight, Dean (Gail) Frazier and Denise (Tony) Jones. Peggy can be credited for improving the quality of his life until the very end of his illness as she was by his side caring for his every need. At the time of David's passing, they had eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren that loved and admired their Papaw beyond measure. His only goal post retirement was to spend as much time with his grandchildren as possible. He volunteered for running all of them to ballgames, golf matches, riding lessons and every fun adventure he could conjure up for them.
He attended every school function they participated in with great joy and gusto.
David loved to keep up with friendships that developed during his service in the United States Navy. He proudly honored his country throughout his life. When he retired from Eli Lilly he continued to enjoy the relationships and activities with his friends he knew from Lilly's, the Marion County Sheriff's office and the Speedway Indianapolis 500. David loved travelling, golfing, fishing, reading civil war history and lending a hand to anyone who needed it. He loved people. His family and his friends returned that love with all of their hearts.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 12 noon with the service at 1:00 pm. at the Ben Franklin Chapel in the Greenwood Forest Lawn Cemetery.
