Obituary

Mr. George G. Logan, Bargersville, passed away late on the morning of Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was 83. George was born October 8, 1938 in Letcher County, Kentucky, a son of the late Chester and Naoma (Tolson) Logan.
George graduated high school in Kentucky and was drafted into the United States Navy where he honorably served his country. He had been employed as a machine repairman at the Truck and Bus Division of General Motors Corporation and retired after over 20 years of service. While at GM, he was a member of the United Auto Workers.
George enjoyed fishing and hunting and also enjoyed listening to Gospel Music. He found comfort in reading his Bible daily and also spent some of this leisure time woodworking. He had been a member of Jubilee Full Gospel Church and had more recently attended New Life Christian Church of Mooresville.
George is survived by his daughters, Kathy Shostrand (husband, Randy Lee) and Patty Rork (husband, Bracken); five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Juanita (Mullins) Logan in 2017, a son, Philip Logan in 2010 as well as two sisters, Betty Sue Kimbley and Edna Reva Winkle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the hour of service at the funeral home.
