George Newton Love, Jr., age 96, of Laurens, SC, formerly of Indiana, passed away August 7, 2010. He was born February 28, 1914, in Worthington, IN to George N. and Elmira M. (Pickard) Love. He was a WWII veteran as a Major in the Army Medical Corp. He was an anesthesiologist at Methodist Hospital for many years after having a family practice. He was a member of the A.M.A. and the A.S.A. George is survived by his sons, William S., George N. III (Lois), and Thomas (Cheryl) Love; one brother, Charles E. Love; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Noon at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one''s choice.
