George Edward Turnbull, age 78, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 with his family at his side. George was born September 28, 1934 in Mingo Junction, OH to Robert W. and Cassie V. (Peeler) Turnbull. George was a U.S. Air Force veteran and he was an auto parts delivery driver. He married the former Janice Reed on March 17, 1964 and she preceded him in death on December 4, 2006. George was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a Pittsburgh Pirates fan too. He also loved to bowl, fish and spend time with his family.

George is survived by his sons, George E. (Goldie) Gaydos, of Minerva, OH, Robert E. (Melissa) Gaydos, of Steubenville, OH, William E. (Jenny) Turnbull, of Plainfield, IN and Paul (Susie) Turnbull of Franklin, IN; daughters, Deborah (Jim) Hollingsworth of Billings, MT and Misty Robinson, of Indianapolis; eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, one grandson, two brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
