GERALD HIRE
Gerald Hire, 67, of Greenwood, died Thursday morning, July 19, 2007 in his home with his loving family at his side. He was born February 19, 1940 in Indianapolis to Guy H. Hire and Nina Farley Hire. Mr. Hire was a photographer, and worked for Format Inc. for 27 years.
Survivors include his mother Nina Hire of Beech Grove ; three daughters, Susan Wheeler of Greenwood, Christina Waltz and her husband James of Franklin and Amanda Foist and her husband James of Greenwood; five grandchildren Jessica Wheeler, Sarah Wheeler, Elizabeth Foist, Emma Waltz, and Eli Waltz: two sisters Sandra Couch and her husband Steve of Indianapolis, Kathy Swonder of Beech Grove.
He was preceded in death by his father Guy H. Hire.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with Reverend John M. Stephenson officiating. Visitation is scheduled 4-8 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, in Greenwood.
