Gerald L. "Jerry" Stone, age 73, of New Whiteland, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his residence. Jerry was born July 6, 1938 in Dubuque, IA to Ralph and Mildred Stone. Jerry was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Vincennes, IN with the Class of 1956. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and sold insurance for Sintz and Associates for many years. He was an avid fisherman and a member of Bassmasters as well as a member of Grace Point Church.
Jerry married the former Carolyn Pemberton on January 14, 1958 and she survives along with sons, Tim Stone, of New Whiteland and Mike Stone, of Franklin; daughters, Deborah (Randy) Maddox, of Clermont, FL and Karen (Terry) Roush, of Franklin; brothers, John (Mary) Stone and Ray (Joann) Stone; sister, Lavaun White, all of Moberly, MO; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Benton and Dave Stone and brother-in-law, Russell White.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Grace Point Church, 330 Whiteland Road, New Whiteland, IN 46184.
