Obituary

Geraldine E. (Foy) (Meyer) Crick, 84, passed away on November 12, 2025.

Born on June 19, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, Geri was the little sister and lifelong friend of Kathleen "Kay" (Foy) Walsh, and daughter of Ernest and Dorothy Foy. She spent much of her childhood in South Texas before briefly returning to New York and eventually settling in Ohio, where she excelled at Regina High School in Cincinnati and studied at St. Elizabeth's in Dayton. Upon graduating from nursing school, she married her first husband, Ronald Meyer, started a family and soon moved to Indianapolis, where she was an active mom, as well as an active member of St. Pius X Church. Yet she also missed being a nurse. So as soon as her children had started school, she restarted her career, bringing her skills and her smile into the operating rooms at IU Health for more than 25 years. After a divorce, she met and married Jim Crick, who shared two of her other interests, casinos and horse racing. They moved to Greenwood, where she balanced out the gambling by engaging in community service, volunteering with various nonprofit organizations and St. Barnabas Catholic Church.  When Jim died far too young, she met her third partner in life, Paul Molter, with whom she shared many good years as she transitioned into retirement and yet another new role, starring as "Grandy" for her five grandchildren. Despite spending her final years managing a decline in health, she retained her grace until the end, never failing to bring light and joy into any room that she entered.

In addition to those named above, Geri is survived by her children, Theresa Armstrong (Christopher Armstrong) and Douglas Meyer (Lee McGoldrick). She was predeceased by her son, Robert Meyer, and is survived by his widower, Angel Melendez. She was also predeceased by her infant son, Gregory Meyer. She additionally is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Colin Armstrong, London Armstrong, Spencer Armstrong, Fiona Meyer and Ciara Meyer and her beloved extended and blended family.

A funeral mass with reception to follow will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 21 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, located at 8300 Rahke Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46217. In lieu of flowers, Geri asked for donations in her memory to be made to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation (www.accrf.org) or New Path Child and Family Solutions (www.newpath.org).
