Gerna Ruth Williams-Smith, 90, of Greenwood, died August 20, 2016. The daughter of Jesse and Leota Claybourne Groover, Gerna was born November 20, 1925 in Elwood, Indiana.

Gerna is survived by her sons, Donald A. (Kathi) Williams of Greenwood, Larry R. (Rebecca) Williams of Plainfield, Michael T. Williams of Indianapolis, Darrell L. Williams of Indianapolis and Gary W. (Bobbi) Williams of Greenwood; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T., whom she married on June 5, 1962; and daughter, Peggy K. England.

Services 7:00 p.m. August 25, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. August 25, 2016. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
