Mrs. Gladys Marie McCollom, 86, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the morning of April 5, 2023. She was born August 22, 1936, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In her leisure time, Gladys enjoyed watching the Indiana Pacers and working jig-saw puzzles. She also liked to play Bingo and going to the casino, always with the hope of winning big money. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by so many who loved her.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Shanda (Michael Cooper) McCollom, her grandson and apple of her eye, Allen McCollom, her granddog Kensey, her daughters, Mary Beth (Bill) Dabney, Sarah Gibbs, Kimberly (Ken) Thompson; her son, Tommy (Liz) Bridges; her nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, Laura (Brett) Elmore and Janita (Steve) Barger; nephews, Pat Conover and Jeff Conover as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her mother, Catherine Louise (Moore) Bodenhamer and her step-father, George Sherman Bodenhamer, she is preceded in passing by her husband, William Thomas "Bill" McCollom; her sisters, Sandra "Kay" Johnson and Cecelia "Diane" Carter and her brother, Francis Leroy "Joe" Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home."
