Gregory Dale Blankenship, 51, of Franklin passed away June 2, 2017. He was born in Martinsville, IN on May 2, 1966 to Robert and Mary L. (Davis) Blankenship.

He lived the majority of his life in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was given the nickname, "Moose", in his childhood that followed him through his entire life. He was so loving, caring, giving, and selfless who always got along with others, and never knew a stranger. Greg was very adventurous, showed no fear, and if there was any fear he would never let you know it. He always protected every one of his siblings and friends alike.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Louis Blankenship; grandmothers, Ethel Florence Williams and Mary Ada Conner-Davis.

Greg is survived by his mother, Mary L. Blankenship; sisters, Robin Delaine Blankenship, Marilyn Y. (Keith) Blankenship-Moore; brother, Christopher Louis (Martha) Blankenship; five nieces, Chellsea, Taylor, Jacklynn, Marlayna, and Michaela; one nephew, Jared and one great niece, Isabella. We all love you Greg.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 12:30 pm in Wesleyan Christian Church, 725 E. Iowa St., Indianapolis.
