Grover Caleb Soliday, Jr., 88, of Indianapolis, IN died Saturday May 28, 2011 in New Palestine, IN. He was born on August 31, 1922 the son of Grover, Sr. and Burrell Soliday. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He married Lena Mae Stock who preceded him in death.
Grover enjoyed spending time will all his family especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading and fishing. He was a self made man.
Surviving relatives include his two sons Dennis Soliday (Carol) of New Palestine, IN; Michael Soliday (Debra) of Greenfield, IN; three brothers, Earl Soliday of Indianapolis, IN; Charles Soliday (Joyce) of Omaha, NE; Allen Soliday (Evelyn) of Coon Rapids, MN; four sisters, Betty Queen; Jean Larsen; Bernie Rueschoff all of Omaha, NE; Ruth Bierle (Art) of Aurora, CO; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S. State Road 135 Greenwood, IN. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
