Obituary

Harold B. "DUKE" Butrum, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at his home on January 3, 2014. Born May 20, 1930 in Tompkinsville, KY, he was the son of the late Ross and Ruby (Creek) Butrum. He married Eva Sue Harris in 1967.
Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver for Commercial - Preston Trucking Company, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Teamsters Union # 135, and was a lifelong musician. He led "Duke Butrum and The Country Boys" band for many years.

Surviving are his loving wife, Eva Sue; two sons, Harold "Duke" (Caron) Butrum and Randy (Laura) Butrum; three daughters, Janice Griner, Karen (Sheldon) Parks, and Debi (Jim) Goodlet; two brothers, Carold ,and Ronald Butrum; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Carl and Darrell Butrum.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday January 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM at First Separate Baptist Church, 25 E. Bixler St., Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to; The First Separate Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
