Harold "Tyke" L. Maupin, 82, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Loren and Corinne Maupin.

Throughout his life, Tyke demonstrated a strong work ethic, exploring various jobs until he found his true calling as a Physical Therapist. Before pursuing his physical therapy degree, he enjoyed teaching Physical Education in Minot, North Dakota. Tyke's long and impactful career allowed him to touch many lives while working at several hospital facilities.

A devoted family man, Tyke cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for exercising, woodworking, and motorcycle riding, and he always appreciated a good pizza and a beer. As a devout Catholic, Tyke lived his faith with kindness and compassion, endearing himself to his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Tyke also had a special bond with his brother in law, Dick Zorn.

Tyke is survived by his loving wife, Beverly, and their four children: Renee Shirer, Karla (Eric) Prime, Jason (Susan) Maupin, and Heather (Justin) Anderson. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Tom Maupin. Tyke was preceded in death by his parents, his son John Joseph Maupin, and two brothers, Jerome and Mark Maupin.

A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Francis and Clare on Monday, September 29 at 10:00 AM, with close family and friends in attendance. Following the Mass, Tyke will be laid to rest in the Resurrection Garden at St. Francis and Clare, alongside his two brothers.
