Obituary

Harold L. Privett age 91 of Greenwood Indiana was born on January 31, 1934 in Bicknell Indiana, the fourth of six siblings to William Riley Privett Sr. and Ruby Violet (Vale) Privett and passed away, surrounded by family, on August 29, 2025 in Franklin, Indiana. He was a proud 1952 graduate and multi-sport athlete for the Bicknell H.S. Bulldogs.

In June of 1956, he married the love of his life, Alicia Ann Wools, also of Bicknell. They had two children, Terri Lynn and Randall "Randy" Lee.

Harold worked in the trade show exhibit industry for his lifelong career, first for Hamilton Displays, then The Exhibit House, both in Indianapolis, retiring in 2001.

Mr. Privett is survived by his wife Alicia Privett of Greenwood and daughter Terri (Russ) Brann of Greenwood and son Randy (Sharma McNiece) Privett of Ocala FL, Also surviving are grandchildren Austin (Carla) Brann of Richmond IN, Aaron (Ashley) Privett of Melbourne FL, Brittany (Sam) Marcello of Crawfordsville IN and Carrie (Tre) Graham of Florence SC. Great Grandchildren Cayden and Braylen Brann and Ty of Richmond IN, Nora, Callie, and Abigail Marcello of Crawfordsville IN and Connor, Carsyn, and Camron Graham of Florence SC, Sister Naomi (Joe Ray) Jameson of Bicknell IN and Duluth GA, siblings in law Donald (Marilyn) Wools of Columbus IN, Linda (Dennis) Scott of Brooksville FL, Mary Jane Wools of Ponce Inlet FL, and Sammie Wools of Orlando FL. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews as well as multiple great nieces and great nephews..

Preceding Mr. Privett in death are his parents, parents in law Raymond and Irmal Wools, siblings William "Junior" Privett, Donald "Dutch" Privett, Doris Korb, and Wanda Evans. Siblings in law Lois Privett, Barbara Privett, David Korb, James "Jim" Evans, and Claude "Buddy" Thompson, Richard Wools and Dale Wools, and great Niece Kiana Niewedde.

In his final months, Harold was under the care of Traditions Health. A very special thank you to Amber and her team as well as special friends at Astral at Franklin for their excellent care.

A Celebration of Harold's life will be conducted at 1:00PM at the Church of Smith Valley 4684 West. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood 46142 on Friday, September 5, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM
