Harold L. Toon 73 passed away June 9, 2012 in Franklin.
He was born April 14, 1939 in Beech Grove to the late Harold E. and Floy (Woods) Toon.
He was a 1958 graduate of Martinsville high school and was employed as a job setter for Allison Transmission in Indianapolis.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam. He married Joretta J. Snyder February 8, 1962 in Morgantown, Indiana, she survives.
Harold was a member of New Whiteland Baptist Church and American Legion Post #205 in Franklin.
Survivors include, son Michael L. Toon, daughter Rebecca A.(David) Gerlach, brother William D. (Joan) Toon, sister Virginia K. (Kenneth) Woodall, grandchildren Matthew D. and Jeanna M. Gerlach and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Benjamin J. and Charles P. Toon.
Funeral services will be Friday June 15, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
