Harry V. Armstrong, New Whiteland, IN, passed away on the early morning of Thursday, September 14, 2023. He was 68 years old. Harry was born on September 28, 1954 in Beech Grove, IN to his parents Harry Leon Armstrong and Naomi Bernice Armstrong. He graduated from Southport High School, class of 1973. Harry married his wife, Pat, on December 9, 1995 and they shared 28 years of marriage together.
Harry worked as a trailer mechanic for Mayes Trailer Sales and retired in 2021 after 16 years of service. Harry loved traveling to the western part of the United States. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He Also treasured and showed his 1963 Nova every chance he could. Harry loved the Broncos and tolerated the Colts. He was always a fan of the Hallmark and the Syfy channels to help him unwind. Harry loved accompanying Pat when she went antiquing and shopping at flea markets. Harry enjoyed deer hunting in the southern part of Indiana. He was talented at making beef jerky.  Harry was a part of many friendships and would meet some of his buddies daily at Hardee's at 5:30 am for coffee. Harry was very family oriented and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Harry is survived by his wife, Pat Armstrong; his son, Eric (Jennifer) Armstrong; his daughters, Kimberly (Tim) Collier and Melissa (Jaun) Bocanegra; his step son, Michael (Lorie) Sims; his grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Noah, and Nathan Collier, Devon and Shelby Armstrong, Alexus Smith and Zane Parsley; his siblings, Larry L. (Judy) Armstrong and Beatrice (Dave) Holsapple; his several nieces and nephews.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Carl and Ruth Armstrong and Ernest and Marie Huber; his grandchildren, Jacob Vincent Collier and Angel Baby Bocanegra.
A visitation for Harry will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 7:00 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm. The family will meet at the funeral home at 2:45 pm to line up in procession.
