Harry Augustus "Bud" Pohlman, 71, born July 29th 1942 and passed away in loving care on Feb 7th 2014. He was born in Indianapolis Indiana and was preceded in death by his Mother, Louise (Hansman) Pohlman and Father, Richard Ignatius Pohlman, Sr.

Bud was a fun loving person who would always find a way to make a situation better and try to bring a smile to your face. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and pursued several interests including golfing, antiquing, collecting, trivia and traveling.

Bud worked in the Roofing Profession through his younger years and transitioned to the office and enjoyed positions in the Commercial Roofing Sales divisions at local Supply Houses. Later he was the Owner/Operator of a Commercial Contracting business which he enjoyed for many years. In retirement, along with his interests, he decided to take on a part time job delivering Automotive parts for a local distributor.

Describing Bud as just fun loving alone does not alone completely describe his character. Over the years Family, Friends, Peers and Colleagues have made comments regarding how he had touched them personally or someone else''s life. Some of them include; "I never meet a person who did not like Bud Pohlman.", "Bud would give you the shirt off of his back if he thought it would help any situation. "They do not make men like him anymore he is one of the good ones!"

He is survived by his loving Wife, Patricia Louise (McCool) Pohlman, Daughter Julia Paige Pohlman, Son James Jason Pohlman, Sisters Betty Jean Fentz, Sister Ann Paula, Pauline Murphy, Carol Ann Kelly Walls, Kathy Beckom and Tricia Pohlman, Brother Richard I. Pohlman, Jr. and six cherished Grandchildren.

Please join his Family in celebrating his life at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15th. The Calling will begin at 11:00AM to 1:00PM for everyone. We will have Prayer Services at 1:00PM by Fr Vincent P. Lampert and a Rosary Service immediately following directed by Sister Ann Paula with the Burial service following.

In lieu of Flowers we will have a donation box at the Funeral home for a collection towards a Red Wagon Sponsorship at Riley Hospital. Bud loved kids and he himself was a kid at heart.
