Hayward Combs, 69, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at his residence. He was born on October 1, 1938 to Chester and Lora Singleton Combs. He was employed at A&P Warehouse for 28 years, Yellow Freight for fifteen years. He was a member of the local Teamsters 135 and President of the Christian Park Pee Wee League for twenty years. He alsoserved in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Venita Short Combs, daughter: Lora J. (Combs) George, four sisters: Lillie (Jim) Leap, Josephine (Gerald) Foster, Linda Combs , Brenda Sandlin, brother: Douglas (Sheila) Combs, three grandchildren: Hayward D. George, Kimberly J. Keough, Kyra Jane Keough, Great Grand daughter: Desiree M. Reading-George. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Garrett and Carl Gene Combs, sister: Phyllis Lowis Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S.
