Helen Clarice Earles Biddle Baker, 88, passed away at her home in Greenwood, Indiana, on Tuesday evening, February 18, 2020. Born March 25, 1931 in Danville, Kentucky, Helen was the daughter of the late Martin L. Earles and Rose L. Earles.
Helen was preceded in death by husbands, Thornton L. Biddle and Thomas W. Baker; six sisters, H. Ilene Privette, Agnes L. Alford, Alice C. Baugh, Bonnie J. Rutter, A. Rebecca Ryan, and L. Maude Guess; and three brothers, Joseph R. Earles, Martin L. Earles, Jr., and W. Claude Earles.
Helen was often mischievous and always stylish. A loving, inspiring, and adored mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will forever be remembered and greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill S. Baker Kersey; son-in-law, Danny E. Kersey; granddaughter, Leslie E. Kersey Clark (Timothy); grandson, Jonathan M. Kersey; great-granddaughter, Oia Helen Colegrove Clark; two sisters, Rose M. Doughty and V. Lois Ray; and many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Shan Rutherford officiating. Graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
