Helen F. Taylor, age 93, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. She was born February 6, 1921 in Valley View, KY to Frank D. and Della Ree (Rhodus) Hendrix. She was a graduate of Paris Crossing, IN High School with the Class of 1941. Helen worked at Camp Atterbury during WWII as a nurse and she also worked at Noblitt and Sparks in Columbus. She met her husband, Wesley I. Taylor and they were married October 11, 1947. Wesley preceded her in death on May 10, 2011. Helen was an avid bowler and she loved to garden and spend time with her family.

Helen is survived by her son, Wesley D. (Toni) Taylor; daughters, Priscella (Gene) Rund and Sheila (Phil) Roberts; sisters-in-law, Mabel and Sue Hendrix; grandchildren, Heather (Dennis) Glover, Patrick (Shannon) Roberts and Stephani Wilson; two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Gabe. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Leonard and William Ray Hendrix.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 28 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery Fund, Paris Crossing, IN 47270.
