Helen Mae Lester Sutton, 94, of Greenwood, passed away March 31, 2013. The daughter of Raymond and Dorothy Porter Lester, Helen was born March 8, 1919 in Greene County, Indiana.

A member of Smith Valley United Methodist Church, Helen was a retired mail carrier, working out of the Greenwood Post Office. During WW II, she worked at Arvin''s.

She is survived by her son, Gary D. (Christine) Sutton of Martinsville; sister, Vera Jackson of Bloomfield; grandchildren, Wayne Sutton, Erin Evans and Shelby Sturm; great-grandchildren, Lincoln and London Evans. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Everett G. Sutton; son, Francis Wayne Sutton; siblings, Don Lester, Hazel Fuller and Rosemary Workman and grandson, Ty Everett Sutton.

Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 in Smith Valley United Methodist Church - 5293 Old Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013. Burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
