Helen Hope Patterson, 85, of Mooresville passed away January 1, 2018. She was born August 12, 1932 to Wilbur and Ruby Hoover in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Helen was a devoted, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helen spent her early years raising her six beautiful children, five girls and one son; in her later years she enjoyed working at the West Newton School, Indiana Dept. of Revenue, and Sheet Metal Workers Local #20. She enjoyed family vacations and attending sporting events with her beloved grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by many.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Edsel Rudolph Patterson; children, Deanna Goss, Ron (Cindy) Patterson, Cindi (Andy) Capps, Patti (Jeff) Shanklin, Sharon Amick and Christie (Scott) Carrico; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 am, also in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
