Helen Arlene Trusty-Freels-Murphy-VanDyke, age 79 of Indianapolis, died on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Clarian West Medical Center in Avon. Helen was born September 6, 1929 in Indianapolis to Frank and Beulah(Beasley) Trusty. Helen retired from RCA after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Beech Grove Eagles Club as well as American Legion Post 355. Helen was married to Wallace Lee VanDyke, Sr. Survivors include two sons, Steve (Dottie) Freels and Dennis (Jan) Murphy; Step-mother Martha Trusty; three sisters, Norma (Carl) Long, Shirley Kizzee, Mildred Straub and Betty Kassing; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband 1 sister and 1 brother. Services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood, IN 46143. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
