Herman Spear, 77, of Indianapolis, died Monday, September 8, 2008. He was born on February 17, 1932 to Travis and Dessie Long Spear. He was previously employed as a material handler for the National Starch Company and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Church of Christ on South E. St., Indianapolis. Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Thelma Irine Willis Spear, his children, Janice (Ronnie) Sloan, Danny (Gloria) Spear, one brother: Eddie Spear, one sister: Mary Beatrice Coyle, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Joyce Strehle, brother: Gordon, sister: Judith Roach.Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S.
