Hilda Elaine Wallace, 85 of Indianapolis, passed away November 7, 2013. The daughter of Denzel and Neola Drake Houser, Hilda was born September 26, 1928 in Indianapolis.

She retired from the claims department of Baldwin-Lyons. Previously, she worked in the corporate office of Stokley-VanCamp. She attended the Community Church of Greenwood. Hilda loved gardening, knitting and traveling.

Survivors: husband, William L. Wallace, Sr. of Indianapolis; sons, William L. Jr. (Nancy) Wallace of Martinsville, Steven D. (Marcia) Wallace of Indianapolis and Barry R. (Bonnie) Wallace of Mooresville; brother, Jim; sisters, Nada, Rita, Marge and Linda; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Houser.

Services 11:00 a.m. November 11, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friend may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. November 10, 2013. Burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
