Hobert L. Tarter, 81 of Indianapolis, passed away May 28, 2013. He was born March 18,
1932, to the late James and Maud (Holt) Tarter. He married Elsie L. Disbro on July 18, 1954 in Indianapolis and she survives.

Hobert worked as a service manager in the automotive industry. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Garfield Church of Christ.

Also surviving are two sons, Randy and Michael Tarter; daughter, Vickie Margison; three sisters, Pauline Myers, Phyllis Fisher, and Janet Hall; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
