Holly Rae Hotz, Greenwood, passed away peacefully on the mid-afternoon of Thursday, August 14, 2025. She was 60 years old. Born February 18, 1965, in Danville, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of Ronald P. and Dorothy J. (Roeder) Hotz.
Holly was a proud graduate of Lutheran High School, where she was active in athletics and served as a spirited cheerleader. She later attended Indiana Central University, now the University of Indianapolis, furthering her education and forming lifelong friendships.
Known for her vibrant personality and zest for life, Holly treasured time spent outdoors and was especially fond of activities shared with her father—golf, fishing, boating, and the excitement of auto racing. She was, in every sense, her daddy's girl.
Holly is survived by her loving mother, Dottie Hotz; her special friend, Don McKinley; her cherished fur baby, Lola; and a host of devoted and lifelong friends. She was preceded in passing by her father, Ron Hotz; her grandparents, Paul and Wilma Hotz, and Ollis and Elzora Roeder Scheller; and her uncle, Bob Roeder.
A celebration of Holly's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the joy she brought to so many.
