Howard P. Capps, 81 of Indianapolis passed away June 19, 2013. Born January 29, 1932 in Burkesville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ellick and Ruia (Long) Capps.

Howard worked as a welder for General Motors for thirty one years before retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of Greenwood Church of Christ. Howard also enjoyed wood working, and was patiently awaiting the arrival of his first Great Grandson Lincoln.

On January 21, 1959 he married Emergine Watson, she survives. Also surviving are daughters, Lisa (Mark) Armstrong, and Darlene (Bill) Cunningham; five grandchildren, Ashley Baxter, Scott Armstrong, Cami Cunningham, Lexi Cunningham, and Emmi Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin Capps; two sisters, Pauline Stevens and Judy Pyle.

Funeral services will be Saturday June 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation, Friday June 21, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
