Hubert William "Red" Adams, Jr., 84, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away June 27, 2007. He was born April 23, 1923 to Hubert William Adams, Sr. and Lola Lichliter, who preceded him in death. Hubert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth L. Adams.
He was a ham radio club enthusiast and volunteered for over 50 years helping to build and support Camp Allendale in Trafalgar, IN. A lifelong Christian, Hubert was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. He was retired form Rexnord, Incorporated (formerly FMC) as an electrician. Hubert served in the United States Army, transferring to the Army Air Corp where he served during WWII.
Hubert is also survived by his sons: Ronald L. (Mary K.) of Indianapolis; Thomas E. (Donna B.) of Shelbyville; daughter, Susan M. (Keith E.) Levering, or Mansfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 29, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN.
Services will be Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM.
