Hulan Levi New, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away September 20, 2012. The son of McKinley and Ida (Jones) New, Hulan was born November 27, 1927 in Wayne County, Kentucky.
He was a tool and die maker, retiring after 40 years, the last 12 years with DeMoss Tool and Die, Inc. of Indianapolis. Hulan was a member of South Emerson Church of God.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon September 24, 2012 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
Hulan is survived by his daughter, Beverly Sue (Dave) Walker; grandsons, Jason (Amy) and Jeremy (Mindy) New, Daniel and Aaron Walker; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Hulan was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Woodruff) New, whom he married on March 25, 1950; sons, Randy L. and Ricky A. New and sisters, Alma Wallace, Maggie Creamer, Ann Mercer, Nina Cummings.
