Hylda Mae Overstreet Muhlhauser passed away quietly on November 18, 2008 at the age of 84. She was born August 8th, 1924 in Merrmac, KY and was the daughter of James and Verna Overstreet who preceded her in death. Mrs. Muhlhauser worked as a telephone operator in Greenwood and retired as receptionist from Teamsters Local 135. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. She was married to Robert F. Muhlhauser who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter Nadine Neely of Greenwood and two sons, Robert Muhlhauser and Mark Muhlhauser both of Indianapolis. Also survived by two sisters, Francis Chandler of Franklin and Pauline Webb of Shelbyville. Hylda also had 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who survives.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Overstreet and Robert Overstreet and one sister, Lucille Hundley.
Services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood at 1pm on Thursday November 20th. Visitation will be from 11am until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions can be made to Lutherwood Child and Family Services of Indianapolis.
