Ima Jean Shoemaker passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was born to Pryse and Lue (Holloway) Jones in Beattyville, Kentucky on January 13, 1934. She was married to her loving husband, Larry Shoemaker who preceded her in death in 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wallace Jones; sisters, Leona Patton and Opal Palmer of Michigan and a beautiful granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Deborah Lawn (Owen), Barbara Tumey (Bill), Donald Shoemaker (Kay), Glenda Howe (Mark), Ronald Shoemaker (Kathleen); brother, Conley Jones; sister, Anne Mullins of Kentucky; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked as a chairside assistant for an oral surgeon; she was a homemaker, a seamstress, an artist with an eye for decoration. Keeping with her wishes and that of her husband before her, there were no calling hours. She was simply laid to rest beside her loving husband of 60 years at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.
