Irene E. Darlington, 87, of Greenwood, passed away January 3, 2015 at her residence. The daughter of Agnes Nelson Hauschulz Yeager and Harvey Hauschulz, Irene was born August 6, 1927 in Cando, North Dakota.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, Illinois where she was active with the Dorcas Circle and the First Baptist Church of Greenwood. In 1992, after 30 years, she retired as a bookkeeper with Ram Tool & Supply, Inc.

Irene is survived by daughter, Audrey E. (Bill) Brown of Greenwood; son, Rick Darlington of Greenwood; daughter-in-law, Ursula Darlington of Beaufort, South Carolina sisters, Ernice Haley of Venice, Florida, Lavina (Sam) Pate of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Doris (Kenneth) Pallestad of Cando, North Dakota and Ethel (Art) Nichelson of Edgewood, Washington; grandchildren, Tracey, Patrick, Reva, Angela, Jeremiah, David and Rebecca. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey E. Darlington; son, Danny Darlington; daughter-in-law, Fran Darlington; stepfather, Ernest Yeager, brother, Stanton Yeager and sister, Elaine Cook.

Dr. Thomas Bridges will officiate at funeral services 2:00 p.m. January 7, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 12 noon to service time. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
