Obituary

Isabelle Fowler, age 93, died April 19, 2009 at her daughter Rosemary's home. She was born November 6, 1915 near Oakland City, Indiana.
Her parents were Charles M. and Grace (Herman) Hayes of Connersville and Knightstown. She was a former resident of Petersburg, Indianapolis, Southport and Whiteland. In 1933, Isabelle graduated from Oakland City High School. She attended Oakland City University, a business school and was employed as assistant to the Treasurer of Oakland City University for 4 years.
She and her husband, Byron Fowler, owned and operated a hunting and fishing lodge for 30 years at Kenora Ontario, Canada. Isabelle and Byron were married September 5, 1937 at Oakland City, Indiana. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary together. She was a 65 year member of Delta Theta Tau. Isabelle was a housewife. She was a member of Community Congregational Church of Franklin.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Joanna (Bob) Stone, Connie Yambrisak and Rosemary Fowler; 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandsons and her sister Mary Pritchett of Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, from 5pm to 8pm and Friday one hour prior to service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Service will be at 11:30am Friday at the funeral home. Intombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
