Ival E. Stone, 76, of North Vernon, passed away January 10, 2013. The son of Oscar M. and Lorena M. Cloud Stone, Ival was born January 12, 1936 in Indianapolis.

Ival was a 1954 graduate of Southport High School and enjoyed the monthly lunches with his alumni. He retired as a Time Studies Engineer with Allison Transmission in 1992 after 38 years of service. After retirement, he worked several years at Lowe''s and Target in Columbus.

Ival is survived by sons, David (Eileen), Donald (Jacqueline) and Daniel (Autumn) Stone; daughters, Cynthia (Craig) Kibby and Constance (Doug) Kelley; brother, Richard Stone; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Besides his parents, Ival was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell E. Pevley Stone and brothers, Oscar, Jr. and Ralph Eugene Stone.

Services 11:00 a.m. January 18, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. January 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
